LA LA LAND Records lanza una edición limitada de 10000 unidades de una obra maestra de la música para cine como es Star Trek: The Motion Picture de Jerry Goldsmith. No solamente se trata de una simple reedición, sino de toda una puesta al día con diverso material, como un libreto de 40 páginas, y los 3 CD’s de música del maestro.
Actualmente existían únicamente dos ediciones legales. Aunque corre por internet una versión de dos CD’s con muy buena calidad.
•La de 9 pistas – Original Soundtrack (released on LP, then on CD by Columbia/Legacy, 9 tracks, around 45 minutes).
•La edición 20º aniversario de 64 minutos – 20th Anniversary Edition (16 tracks on CD1 (64:50), Inside Star Trek LP expanded and presented on CD 2, Sony Legacy, gold slipcase)
